Wallace Davis

Wallace T. Davis retired as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Volunteers of America Southeast Inc. June 30, 2021 after providing leadership for this affiliate for more than 40 years. In 1975, Wallace began his career with Volunteers of America New Orleans as a counselor to men and women in substance abuse and homelessness. Wallace is a graduate of Samford University and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, with a Bachelor of Science in Education, a Master of Theology and a Doctorate of Philosophy in Psychology and Counseling.  He is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a certified Supervisor.

Wallace has served as pastor, teacher, author, CEO, and counselor in a span that began more than 50 years ago. He continues as speaker, counselor, writer, and mentor.

For over 21 years and continuing today, you can hear Wallace’s “Uplifting Moments” on four local radio stations during morning drive time. You can also see him on a local CBS affiliate on Sunday mornings. His two recent books, Uplifting Moments, and Uplifting Moments II, 365-day devotional books, come from these daily radio moments.

Wallace has served on numerous boards, currently including Alabama Family Trust and SWAPTE.

Wallace and his wife, Barbara, have four adult children and nine grandchildren.
