Troy A. Skipworth is a graduate of the University of North Alabama (B.A.) and the University of Alabama (J.D.). Troy has been practicing in Elder Law since 2006, and has been serving as the managing partner of Harris Elder Law in Florence since 2023. Troy is a founding member and a director on the Board of Caringplace of the Shoals, a nonprofit adult day care center for those with Alzheimer’s and dementia. He is also an adjunct instructor of political science at the University of North Alabama and has been teaching at UNA and coaching their mock trial team since 2008. He is an adult leader and assistant scoutmaster with Cub Scout Pack 299 and Scouting America Troops 43 and 284 and is also proud to be a member of the Downtown Florence Kiwanis Club.
Troy has been married to his wife, Allison Talley Skipworth, since 2007 and they have a son, Rowan, born in 2013.
