
LaTanya D. Rhines is an elder law attorney who has served as the Title III B Legal provider for the Top of Alabama Regional Council of Governments’ Area Agency on Aging for over twenty-one (21) years. Prior to her work at TARCOG, LaTanya worked as a staff attorney in the Gadsden Regional office for Legal Services Corporation of Alabama (LSCA). In her current position, Ms. Rhines provides legal assistance to individuals age 60 and over living in a five-county region. Much of her work centers around estate planning, institutional Medicaid, benefits counseling, and long-term care issues.
Ms. Rhines received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in English (honors) and Criminal Justice from the University of Alabama in 1993. She received her Juris Doctorate (JD) Degree from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1996. As a law student, she was a member of the Journal of the Legal Profession and the Moot Court Board.
LaTanya is a member of the Elder Law Section of the Alabama State Bar.
